Importing

Hi guys,

I recently came to a project with two databases. One has been used for the past year, but is something quickly throw together. The second database was made by a programmer and would liked to be used now. The old database contains thousands of records though and the two databases do not contain the same fields and organization. Is there anyway to import data from the old database to the new one? Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Also, if anyone knows how I can copy a field with a format.. i.e. a dates field with the __/__/__ automatically in, to the new database using the calendar, please let me know.

File-->Get External Data--> Import
and then choose the old database.
