I am navigating through a few unbound forms using a global variable to get set the recordset. That in its self was difficult for me to grasp at the begining, but now I realize that you can use Querydef to do much thesam thing. In your opionon, which is the best or most efficient way to do this... global variabl or querydef?

In your opionon, which is the best or most efficient way to do this... global variabl or querydef?

As a general rule I use querydef from a "search" form. Its easier to design and easier for the user. By using a search form you can also use a combo or list box which makes it harder for the user to mess up (no spelling errors for example).
Having said that, there are occasions when the global variable is the best way.
It depends on the situation and very much on the ability of the user.
