Please can anyone help me?

I need the user to be able to INPUT a date but only the month and year e.g. 02/03 for Feb 2003. I want the text box into which the input was made to also only display the month and year. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it is possible

First make sure your table has a field that will accept the value. Format it to "mm yyyy" Then create an input mask that will do the same.

Then make the text box based upon that field. The formating and input mask should carry through to the form. If you already have the text box there but not the formating and input mask you can either recreate them manually or delete the text box and put in a new one after changing the table.

Still Stuck!

Sorry Des, couldn't get it to work. I changed the format in the table design to mm yyyy but when I entered, for example, 02/03 (Feb 2003) it took the 02 to be the 2nd day of the month and recorded a date of 02/03/2003. It DISPLAYED 03 2003 when I clicked out of the field but when I click in the field it again shows 02/03/2003.
Very puzzled!

date format

Did you check your regional settings? You might have your date set to dd\mm\yy. I *think* (I'm new at this myself) that the regional settings would override the application settings, given the chance.

Regional Settings

Regional settings are set to dd mm yyyy in Windows which is right for UK. I need to input 02/03 for Feb 2003 and display 02/03 or, better yet, display Feb 2003.

Thanks for staying with me on this one!
