input masks

hi i have created an input mask for customer ID (>"C":00999)
instead of the 00and 99 is there anyway to make this an automatic number so the user wouldnt have to try and find the next available customer id number also is there any way of creating a e-mail input mask

cant get it to work

hi i have tryed what you said and it is a much better idea thanks but when the auto number gets to double figures it is split by the C e.g.

C: 9
1C: 0
1C: 1

do you know how i can get this to stop thanks

thanks for the advice i got it to work by writing !"C" & that works fine now thanks for all your help
