It drives me crazy going from an environment I know (<= Access 2003) to an environment I don't know (Access 2007). Same problem with Excel.

I ran across an excellent tool at the Microsoft Office site that interactively shows you how to do tasks in 2007 that you knew how to do in 2003.

For Access:
http://office.microsoft.com/assista...t=788&type=flash&CTT=11&Origin=HA102388991033

For Excel:
http://office.microsoft.com/assista...t=788&type=flash&CTT=11&Origin=HA101491511033

And in case those links don't work:
For All:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/results.aspx?qu=interactive+command+reference

To use, just click on the commands in the 2003 window that you would normally use and the tool will show you where to go in 2007 to achieve the same thing.

This got me through some simple stuff in Excel 2007 last night that I normally could do in 2003 with my eyes closed.

Hope this helps you make the transition.

I'm having a bit of problem find the command to turn the ribbon off. Where that would be? :D

(Note: this poster likes vim more than Word, so he may be just slightly biased.)

G’day Banana.

There’s already a workaround for turning the ribbon off…it’s called Access 2003.
If you’re interested, there’s also a service pack for Vista, it’s called XP Pro.

Regards,
Chris.

G’day Banana.

I honestly feel partially responsible for the existence of Access 2007, I purchased Access 2003 and they used my money to develop it.

Regards,
Chris.
