Interface scanner for simple order processing

I want to get Access to prompt the user to scan a part number barcode from a table that has the order details, then display the quantity ordered for that part on the scanner screen, prompt the user to enter the quantity shipped display a verification on the scanner screen and then prompt for the next barcode part number to repeat the process. I am looking into using Symbol scanners but am not locked into that yet. Any ideas?
