Invalid Argument

For some reason a recoed has appeared in one of my tables with "#Error" in every field. When I try to delete it (or in fact anything) I keep getting the Message "Invalid Argument".

Any suggestions how I clear it please?

Hi,

Assuming you have tried a compact and repair

This is table level corruption, I would copy the record as a duplicate and delete the old one, unfortunately the field that contains #error cannot be repaired, so if you do not know what the value is then this data field has been lost.

Ermmmmm. No I hadn't tried compact & Repair - but I did and it's fine now!

Cool, that was nice and easy.

It is good practice to compact and repair every night, it fixes errors and helps prevent database bloat.

Or alternatively get SQL server
