Hi to all,

I created a project in which there is an help file associated. Whne they click open it it should open in internet explorer rather than now where it is opening in a word file.
It is a Ms- word file. It contains pictures, wordart also along with text and hyperlinks (connecting to diff pages in the same file).
I tried using the option save as html in word but its appearence is not so good. Is there a better way of doing it so that i can make it apper more colourful and impressive

It will open with IE if you specify that in a command line argument. (Look here)

suggestion: If you open a .doc with IE, you will still have the Word toolbar inside your Explorer window, though. I would recommend changing the help file to a .pdf for a more professional look.

Also, you can check out Microsoft Help Workshop (pain in the butt to use) which can create CHM (compiled html help files). Another program to check out is HelpScribble from JGSoft. You can download a full-functioning trial version for free at http://www.helpscribble.com and it is actually relatively cheap ($99) as help file creators go. I use it all the time and love it.
