Is there a way I can turn a negative value into a postive value on a report

I have a value of -£20 showing on a payment report but this won't make any sense to a customer when they receive it. Is there any formula or expressions (not VBA) on how to change this to £20.

put it in the query
ABS(field)

Note that if your query does this, you will either see the field name become Exprn or you need to use the "AS new-name" syntax, because expressions inherently have no name other than the Exprn default.

You could ALSO just place the item's .ControlSource (in the report) as =Abs([field]).

you can also use the formatting property for the control on your form or report

-20.00

with a format property of

£#.00;£#.00

will show as

£20.00 whether it is positive of negative
