Is this concept viable?

Scenario is a company business database

I have a table with a default pricebook (for sales orders)
In the Customer table, a field to specify which pricebook to use (default or customer specific)

I have a second table, that specifies the discount % against the default book per customer specific pricebook

Objective is that when sales orders placed, either use the appropriate discount schedule or default price to automatically populate the sales order line

I expect that I will need some sort of code to make this happen, but at this stage:

Still building (rebuilding after other posts at this forum) tables pointed out the error of my ways
Not spent much time on creating working queries coz haven't got the tables right yet
A long way from having the skills to do code

At this stage, do not spend much time on solution, just looking for a yes/no is what I am attempting is viable

Yes says keep rebuilding my tables
No says go away and think again

Many thanks for any direction

So basically all you need to do is get some code to select the correct price from the correct table selected by an field in the record? That should be easy(ish) to do with VB.

That's easy for you to say, you know how to do it!

Keep track of this for a few months till I get everyting else set up and I will then hopefully get back to you on the how

Thanks for the response
