Is this possible?

Paper based solution -
There is a master table which lists recipients, their addresses, and which reports they need. The report generator works through the table, calling subreports as appropriate for each recipient.

In other words I get a huge print with sections for many people, all different.
Because it is on paper I can break it up and put it in the post.
The master table (actually many) can be big.

New solution required -
The master table now has the e-mail address in place of the mail address. For each recipient on the master there is an e-mail sent with their report as an attachment. Ideally the output should be in pdf format to keep the (complex) layouts.

Any ideas how this might be achieved, if it can, would be much appreciated.

Hmm, this may not be as easy as i make this sound

i have on an old 98 machince with a print driver that prints to PDF format. SO

first you use this/similar print driver to print the report to a file. Then using a email methond send it.

note email method could be :-

docmd.sendobjects (can this sent files?)
CDO (this is my favorite)
MAPI
TCP/IP
Outlook
Lotus Notes
.
.
.
.
ect

another posobility is to send the report in the snapshot format using the sendobject command

A little more information -
All the simple bits work fine - I can print to Acrobat's print driver and can e-mail a report with an attachment by Groupwise.
I can't get my mind around a concept which would give me "run and forget" despatch of several hundreds of reports, all different, by e-mail.
Macros? VB? I can't see how to bring it all together.
I am reluctant to give up on Access as a lot of work has gone into the reports, and the master table concept gives easy maintenance.

Right,

First i recomend using VBA, ist just far more flexable.

There are so many differnet ways of going about this that 10 different people could give you 10 differnt methods to work with, ill try to make this as easy as possible for you.

If you let me know which bit your having trouble with i could be a bit more specific.

I dont realy have time to write a email export module for you
