Hello everyone, I am new to access. I have been searching this forum for several days trying to put together a form that queries my data for a few parameters that I have selected, through a number of combo boxes. My queries work, however I am having difficulties adding the following queries to my form:

The form needs return the following results:

Less than or equal to X amount of samples per week
Less than or equal to X amount of samples per month

Needs to be queried for those two parameters separately and combined.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your reply. I tried doing what the post suggested, but I am lost. Any one else want to help a newbie?

starters

what version of access (I have not look)

make the qry look at your form by the use of forms!(nameofform)!fieldname

so
Between [forms]![bdxfrm]![startdate] And [forms]![bdxfrm]![enddate]

Between means what it says
then i have a form call BDXfrm
and a field on this form call startdate
then And etc
this runs off date stored in a table this allows date to date retriveal

hth

do you really require weekly/monthly ?
if so my suggestion isn't gonna help

starters

Between [forms]![bdxfrm]![startdate] And [forms]![bdxfrm]![enddate]

And

>=[forms]![bdxfrm]![startdate] And <=[forms]![bdxfrm]![enddate]

will be inclusive.

I had a look at the DB but the form opened in some strange way so I bailed out.

But in general you make the basic queries that will slect on dates, months or whatever. Then you might need follow on queries based on the queries you made where the follow queries calculated averages or whatever you want.

This sort of thing

>=[forms]![bdxfrm]![startdate] And <=[forms]![bdxfrm]![enddate]

goes onto the criteria line and in your case things such as StartDate and EndDate would be combo box names.

So the paramaters come form the combo or they could be entered in a textbox and the query uses that for its criteria.
