Japanese/Jorean characters in Query

Just curious to know. When I run certain query from A SQL Table in Access, the result is what looks like japanese characters. Anyone encountered this? Is this an error(it has to be, right)? This is an an email field

No idea whether it's related to your issue, but I had exactly the same thing happen to all fields on one side of a report I created, about a year ago. turned out that one of the underlying tables had become corrupt. I replaced the 'bad' table with a backup from a day or two earlier and the problem vanished. I never did find out why this happened, as it hasn't repeated itself since.

I keep a copy of the report pinned to the wall next to my desk as a reminder of what can go wrong and not to get too cocky.

I have a feeling that's what happened to me, too. I would be curious to know what those characters mean. I googled one and it looks like Japanese. I just wonder how that would be possible. Coincidence? Access is strange (i'm still new at it)

You could try running a Compact and Repair on the database and see if that helps?
