My Access 2000 is missing the Jet SQL reference. Does anyone know any of the following:
Why it is missing?
What I can do about it / where I can get it?

Thanks

I haven't been able to figure out how to use the search from Access help to bring up help for SQL but the help file is attached. You can find it by going to the table of contents page. It is toward the bottom of the list - "Microsoft Jet SQL Reference".

If you keep a desktop shortcut that opens the Jet help directly, you can use then use search to find what you need. See my answer to this poster for more details:

Thanks, but you misunderstood me. As I said, the Jet SQL reference is missing, it doesn't appear in the table of contents.

I was able to copy the help file directly from another computer, but I'd still like to know why it was missing from my copy in the first place.

I don't have the answer. I can tell you that the help file was also missing from my PC (A2K and Win2000) at my client's office but was not missing on my home PCs (AXP and Win XP; A2K, A97 and Win95)). The only difference that I can think of is that when I install Office, I select ALL help files and wizards and the images that corporations typically use, do not contain help files and wizards.

OK, thanks. I did put in the Office install CD to see if there were some help files that hadn't been installed, but that was really confusing and I was unable to identify any such files that I could install at that point.
