OK, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SUGAR, bad for you, yet it is in many, many products.
What if instead of this bad for you thing, these products were changed to use say a regular sugar, stuff like that which would make them not as bad for you?
Then the current HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SUGAR plants changed to generate Ethenol instead. The Ethenol can be used as fuel, and could be added to exiting supplies, and even it's own since corperations like GM are building their cars to run on 85% Ethenol.
Kind of kill two birds with one stone, make everyday products a little less unhealthy, and help the fuel situation.

Just thinking out loud.

In 1979 Americans ate 2 lbs of High Fructose Corn Syrup, in 2005 they ate 60.

No wonder we’re a bunch of fat pigs.

It’s cheaper than sugar, easier to transport, and is actually sweeter.

It has a more detrimental effect on the insulin cycle creating FAT people.

Much better to burn it in our cars.

Old news Fofa, the brazilians are doing that for years now. Ethanol is being produced from sugar cane and is added to the gasoline. It is a renewable energy source and an excellent combustible, since its motor octane number is higher than that from gasoline.

The fermentative process of ethanol production that give byproducts like fructose, comes as an extra, since there is an expanding market for fructose.

Here in the Netherlands we're doing tests with adding rapeseed to diesel
( Biodiesel), which reduces the literprice of Diesel and is better fro the environment.

I have not heard of HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SUGAR but it would not suprise me what they are adding to our food today to make them more addictive and fattening. I bet Coke Zero has HFCS in it.

AKA high fructose corn syrup. It is in a LOT of things, especially drinks. You won't find many "fruit" drinks that don't have the stuff in it, unless it is 100% from concentrate. Definitely not good for you.

I never said Ethanol was a new idea. They have used it for years in small quantities here. But Ethanol, like all alchole is drived from fermenting sugars. So instead of putting those "bad"sugars in our diet, convert them to alcohol and burn it in our cars. If I understand correctly, less bad emissions also.

I got one right here!! *Loves Coke Zero* No HFCS.....

It has the following:
Carbonated Water, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Aspartame, Potassium, Benzoate (to protect taste), Natural Favors, Potassium Citrate, Acesulfame, Potassium, Caffeine. PHENYLKETONURICS: Contains PHENYLALANINE.

Didn't you know Coke and Cola are nothing more than diluted paint stripper? ;)

It's Aspartame. ;)

I know, I try not to think about it and just drink it.

Wow! My spelling's been corrected! And by Selena! ;)

Yeah, I just can't stand most things with aspartame in it. It just tastes disgusting to me.

I'm asking you.

"[...] acesulfame-K are all known to enhance insulin release even though they are not carbohydrates"

And just for shits and giggles:

"Phenylalanine uses the same active transport channel as tryptophan to cross the blood-brain barrier, and, in large quantities, interferes with the production of serotonin."

Actually I was insulin resistant, but since I've lost 80lbs over the past 2 years, I hadn't had any problems.

serotonin eh...not good either......I need to keep all I have since I apparently don't keep it, and try to reabsorb it when I shouldn't. . I'm on a serotonin re-uptake inhabiter. :D

Just keep it to a couple cans a day and you'll only be slightly poisoned. :)
