Please help.

I am fairly new to Access so treat me like a noob :)

I have created an access 2007 database (not front/back end yet). Set it up on my pc and everything was fine.

When i transferred it to my server PC (network) and opened the database it correctly created a .laccdb file.

My problem is, when i close the database this file does not delete.

I am unable to make changes under the "admin" logon as the file is locked by "Admin" ???

I think I would open the .accdb then shut it down and then check whether the .laccdb file retains an older date/time stamp on it that should be the case ... if so simply delete it.

Hi Paulo,

I had tried your suggestion. The laccdb file has remaned locked from when I first opened access on the machine 9am this morning. I am unable to delete the file even when access is closed.

I think (but cant yet be sure) that there is a conflict of names on the pc. i.e. it's registered to 2 users . . . Dave and Admin.
When Admin opens the DB it also thinks Dave is in access. When Admin logs out (& closes it) it thinks Dave is stil logged in.

Does anyone think this is possible?
