We have a Truck Cab (very rare) for a Series 3 Landrover, with all it's glazing and also a set of wrap around bull bars. We need room in the garage so they are free to anyone who can come along and uplift them.

If you know of anyone in central Scotland who may be interested, please let us know.

Thanks

Does the better half know you're giving his valuables away? :p

Less risky to post an advert than just saying "Its me or the damn truck"

LOL. The truck went a long time ago, to raise funds for him to cut up my Range Rover and make a Trakka  We were both heart broken to see it go, but, at the time we owned a total of five vehicles and had no room for them, couldn't afford all that road Tax...

So, all that's left is the Truck cab and the bull bars. He now needs room in the garage for his next project :D

LOL to keep multiple vehicles you need to live way way way out in the boonies... around here people say Five Trucks One Plate

Actually it would probably be very dangerous to live here... loads of space for loads of toys ;)

I'd watch my back if I were you :o :p

No idea what you mean Ken. I also have no idea what the next project is, but he's nearly finished the foundations for it in the garden, six foot deep, six foot long and 3 foot wide. I wonder what he's up to :p

Oh, I'm sure his Trakka would love living over there, it loves to be off road, I know this for the amount of time he mounts the pavement with it LOL.

You know, you guys complain bitterly about the price of petrol over there, you should try it here. We both love our big engines but you just can't afford to run more than one V8 over here. So all but one of the big engines had to go  Including my Big 6 BMW  I was heartbroken, but as I prefer to walk to work, and it was only ever used every other week, there was no point...:(

We are all victims of the people who are driving up the prices of fuel purely on the futures market and speculation. In spite of the hardship this is causing all the governments and their pals are getting some sort of profit from this farce or it would be stopped like any other hurtful money scam.
Fuel costs what it costs and it is worth the expense to enjoy what ever vehicle as a recreation within reason for some people. Here we distill our own tractor fuel for our farm equipment, unfortunately farm fuel is not to be used for vehicles on public highways so we have to make sure we dont accidentally fuel up our road vehicles with the untaxed product ;)

The tradition of producing fuel in this area goes back to the early 1900s when it was produced for consumers south of the Canadian border ;)

The difference between commercial farm fuel and the consumer commodity is the dye colour of the fuel and the taxes charged, the sum of the taxes is lower for the farmer. What makes stealing the fuel attractive is that there is usually a hand pump mounted on the 200 gallon tank so the crook only has to cut a pad lock to access the fuel.
What most crooks do not think about is that neighbours do not find it quirky to occasionally hear an occasional gun shot and there are lots of places to bury a crooks body on the farm

Wow, moonshine for tractors LOL.
We have much the same situation here, there have been a lot of people resorting to stealing low grade fuel from farms lately to run their vehicles. I'm not sure if this is because they can't afford to buy it or if it's just a rebelion. Either way, it's a shame the farmers have to suffer still further!

You dont have the right to bare arms? We have always had the right in Canada to go short sleeved or even sleeveless - get with the times!

You may be on to something with the disposal though, they seem to have no trouble catching people who have buried the victims in shallow unmarked graves  no one would think of looking for the obvious ;)

I heard on the news this morning that we are being given the right to do the same here in the UK  , The mystery is, how do you shoot someone who breaks into your property when you don't have the right to bare arms? They are even trying to ban air guns here! Perhaps they haven't thought this one through?

I do believe we'd have to be more creative in the disposal of the bodies. Perhaps placing their heads on a stick around the garden fence might act as a deterent to any other prospectors?
