last number in a table

Are or can the Numbers be entered into a field of their own.

So we can have 34 instead of NCO34. The NCO would go into a separate field and then join the two when required. But never save the two in the same field.

we would have

NCONO 1234 pco1111
pco 1112
pco 1113

NCONO 1235 pco 1114
pco 1115

a part could be added to NCO 1235 later but that pco number could be pco 1200
as other order when created before this order got entered

when I see the people who work on this database I was going to ask why the put the words PCO in the form , I cannot see the reason

that's what I want to achieve

I would like to ask the same question.

I assumed PCO was just one example with others having PLC CPL etc.

So does every one of these have PCO.

Have a look at your table to be sure.

ProductNo pco no OrderID GC3555M1 PCO0099 4341 GC3446M1 PCO0100 4341 GC3446M1 PCO0101 4341 GC3446M1 PCO0102 4341 DC3839M1 PCO0138 4360

OrderID NCONo CustomerName 4341 6156 Alstom - Transport

this how the 2 tables are

I am looking for something common here.

Do you always have 2 letters followed by all numbers.

If they are standard we can just extract a certain number of numbers from the right,

Read Access help for Left, Mid and Right commands.
