I'm having to purchase a new computer and I would like to know if I will have any issues running my legacy Access 2002 32 bit programmes on Access 2016 64 bit software.

kind regards,

Eddie

Yes you will have one big issue.
A2016 cannot run A2002 files. You will need to use an intermediary version of Access such as 2010 to open and I suggest convert to ACCDB

After that it depends on what your databases contain.
If you use API declarations, these will need to be converted to work in 64bit Access.
Certain ActiveX controls don't work in 64 bit

Some features have been deprecated whilst other features have been added.

Good luck

try it first.
.accdb will work without API.
.accde will not.

I would like to thank you for the help given with this problem it is very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Eddie
