Hi. Not exactly sure what you mean, but one thing that comes to mind is to use a subform control instead. Hope that helps...

Do you mean the scrollbar or a slider control?
Perhaps a labelled screenshot would help

AFAIK no.
If you use overlapping windows, the entire form is scrolled whichever scrollbar is used.
Using tabbed documents, that is only true for horizontal scrolling

However, in my opinion forcing users to scroll makes for a poor user experience.
I avoid making forms larger than will fit on users' screens for precisely that reason. And, before you ask, I use automatic form resizing to ensure that's always the case

Sorry, you can't avoid it if you really want that functionality. Good luck!

Or use a tab control to fit more on the screen without scrolling

Im talking about scroling the records in a continuous form.
I will never ask users to scroll the window itself.

In your example they also go over the Header and footer.
I guess going with a sub form will be the best option.

I have another question for you
In your example you use a line of buttons on top row (Or aren't they buttons?)
How do you make them square without the round corners?

Thanks

Not true. When the form is scrolled the header and footer stay visible at all times which is what I want to happen. The detail 'appears to scroll under the header and footer though that is of course an illusion.

They are standard buttons with no special effects and designed in A2010.
In fact the corners are slightly rounded though its possible to remove that.
You can modify the button shapes in design view by clicking on the Format tab and then Quick Styles or Change Shape

Thank you :HUG & KISS:

I never tried to change the shape of a button

Regarding the Scroll bars I don't like the way they go on the sides of the Header/footer.
