link OLE field to PDF file in next column

Dear all,

I'd like to be able to open a PDF file directly by clicking a OLE-field.
The way I've set it up is that in a table I have a OLE-object (Bitmap of PDF icon) and in the next column next (hyperlink field) the URL to the PDF file. I'd like to be able to open the PDF by clicking on the PDF. Is this a reasonable set-up or there better ways to do this? What do I do to make this work?
