Link table to form

Hiya

Please be gentle I am no expert at this sort off thing.....

Is there a way of clicking on a line in a table and the relavant form opens in a new window. You can then edit the form and the table is updated.

If you can see the table and the record then you could directly update the record purely by overtyping with new data.


I say Hmmmm because there is no way you would have access to tables in one of my databases. I would have expected a Form to allow you to select a record and then that full record would be displayed to allow edit of those fields that you are allowed to change

If your goal is to find the record to edit then you might try using a Search combo instead. Create your form bound to your table. Then add a search combo using the combobox wizard (the third choice). When you select a record from the combo, the form will display that record and you can go ahead and edit it.
