I have a database that I created at the office of one of my clients. I have installed the front and back end databases on my laptop. I have ensured that all of my tables are linked to the local backend and not the database found on my client's server. I cannot log into the client's server from my laptop but I am able to connect to his wireless network enabling me to access the internet from his office. As long as I am logged into his wireless network, the database runs great (on my laptop). If I disconnect from his network, the database will not open (even holding down the shift key). I do not get any type of error. When Access initially opens, I can see the Microsoft Access Title Bar with "Microsoft Access" located in the center of the screen. After about 4 seconds, the Title Bar changes and "Microsoft Access (Not Responding)" appears on the left side of the title bar and the center title disappears. After about 4-5 more seconds, the default Access screen appears where I can create a new database - with no sign that I ever tried to open my database.
Something in the startup process must still somehow be connected to my client's server. I have deleted the AutoExec macro, I have eliminated the startup form, and I have checked the Reference files to ensure they are all visible and located on my local laptop.
Any idea why my database won't open when I am not connected to his wireless network (again, not his actual server files).
Thanks in advance,
Scott
