linked excel table row limit

I have a linked excel table but when I print a report in access using the data contained within a worksheet it reads 1067 rows even though only 1 or 2 may actually be populated in the excel worksheet. Is there a way to limit the original data in the excel worksheet so access only picks up those rows which contain data.
