Hi Accessers!
I have an Excel workbook that has 36 sheets which each hold information on teams entering competitions. Data from each sheet is collated on a single sheet, then transferred into Access for sorting by using a series of queries to further sort the information.
The sorted data is then transferred back to the individual Excel sheets for entry into a competition timekeeping form specific to the entered team.
Question - Currently I am linking each sheet to the relevant Access query which is imported into the Excel sheet as a table. Is there any way that the whole Excel workbook can be linked to the Access database, so I can select the query I want to use on a sheet without having to go through the process of identifying the database each time I go to import data from Access?
I'm also hoping that this may help when I move the database and excel shhet from one computer to another (so someone else can help with the work load) as currently the Excel sheets will look for a specific file path which may not exist on someone elses computer.
Really I want Access and Excel to talk to each other in their own little world!

Any ideas please??

Look for File-->External Data--->Import

or the link Rx buddy has given

Access and excel are both friends ! there r many ways of communicating data between them ! Microsoft has designed and filled Heavy capabilities and endless possibilities into them with small amount of Harddisk usage !

Thanks for the quick responses "chaps"! Not sure I understand all of it as I'm a bit of a novice at this. I was kind of hoping that there would be an easy way I could say to Excel, "Right! This is the Access database you are going to be connected to and you'll put the results from its specific queries into a specific place in a selection of your specific worksheets"! The two would then be as co-joined twins that would never be parted........
