Hi,

I am designing a database and a part of it consists of one table linked to three others by one to many links. I was wondering whether there would be any advantage in forming a one to many link between two of the child tables forming a triangle - this would be possible just using existing keys.

Thanks

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. You should have your Primary key and then the Foreign keys in the related table(s) so I don't know what you want to do beyond that.

Hi,

Thank you Jack and Pat.

I'm sorry that my question wasn't very clear. I have defined the relationships and am now quite happy with the result. I took on board what you said about not defining relationships just because the keys are there and will not be linking two of the child tables together. I cannot seem to send or copy the relationship window or I would send it for your approval.

I'm am just starting to work my way through Beginning Access 2000 VBA so will probably have more questions before long!

Thanks again

Thanks

Thank you Pat - I couldn't copy the print screen into paint so I'm going to look into getting hold of SnagIt software.

Cheers,

Stuart
