Linking to Access Tables through Website

My company have a project management database which has been in use for a couple of years now. On a daily basis we deal with quite a few enquiries from clients which require us to interrogate the database and feedback.

We want to develop an area of our site which will enable clients to gain access to the data and perform their own analysis based on search criteria.

Can someone please tell me the easiest way of doing this? I have relatively good knowledge of Access but very little web knowledge.

I've done something along those lines with ASP, though it was crude. I'm not strong in web stuff either. I believe it can also be done with PHP. I've heard that recent versions of Front Page included an ASP wizard, but I haven't used it myself.
