Can anyone help me understand why a link from one Access DB to another Access DB might not update automatically?
I have confirmed the following...
1. no one was in the source DB at the time
2. the name of the source DB, table and fields hasn't changed.
I made an update to a few tables in a Reference DB, like I've done in the past, but this time when I opened the linked table in the other DB, it showed the "pre-update" data...
The most frustrating thing is that this has worked in the past and always works for an elaborate connection of other databases that I have compiled...
Also, yesterday, for the first time, I noticed the "linked table manager" function. This function manually updates liked tables, why is this necessary? Shouldn't the linked tables be updated automatically?
