Load Excel data everyday to access table

I am using MS Access 2003 and Excel. I created a table in access db by importing data from Excel sheet. I get excel file everyday with current or history data. What are the best ways to load data everyday to the existing table and how to automate it ??

Table should append data everyday. It should maintain historical data

If the Excel spreadsheet is updated daily directly into the spreadsheet and you want to update the changes to Access, then I suggest you link the spreadsheet instead of importing it. This will mean that the data is live - so to speak - and will always reflect the contents of the spreadsheet. If the layout of the spreadsheet means you cannot directly link to it, lets say the first row of data starts at row 4, then create a new worksheet in your workbook the references the original worksheet but in a format that can be linked.

If there are columns in Excel that are not used in Access these can be excluded in your worksheet. You can also set the column properties to match.
