loading background image slow

Hello,
On a form, I want a background image. That is not a problem, but what i don't like is that it takes always 3-4 seconds to load that picture, no matter the size or the kind of it(BMP, JPG)
Is there not a way to speed the loading process up?

Thanks for trying to help, but I saw that film before and I did exactly the same. And even with a picture of only 100KB I have the same (bad) result!

Not by me, so post a stripped down version of your database + the picture and the name of the form.

After copying the db from the server to my computer in order to make a stripped version for you, I saw that the form opened (on my computer) as I wanted, fast and normal. So I think the fault must have something to do with the place where the database is.
Therefor, I think it isn't usefull to send a stripped version. Maybe it's better not using a picture as background on that form.

Good you found the problem, although it did not give a solution, (only removing the picture from the form).

I agree with JHB --not having the background picture isn't really a solution.
Tell us more about the database - is this a multiuser/split system? Perhaps you could investigate putting the picture on your local machine as opposed to on a server?? Or in a different directory and get some facts for analysis.
