I created a qry to base an update record form to update employee information. However, I can not open it base on last name as that will populate all "smiths" Is there a way to add criteria to have only one parameter popup to populate both critera, LName and FName, for to fields?

Basicly I want to click the cmd to open a from for Smith, Jane with out having to fill out two parameters.

Use a combo box in a form that lists your options as lastname, firstname and let your users select from the box. As standard, combo boxes support zooming in on a value as you type. So if you typed SMI it will go to the first record with those initial letters which makes it user friendly.
