Lost focus, can't regain it

Designed an unbound form in another database where it served as a menu (with several command buttons to goto other places); no problem so far. Then I copied/pasted it into another database, deleted all the macros from the command buttons, and replaced them with 'embedded macros' that opened forms. It worked for several minutes but then 'froze' and the form it last opened persists in staying open, whereas the form with commands cannot get the focus. How do I get focus and what might my problem be? Thanks.

OK, found the problem: When adding the macro for one such link, I put it on the 'On Focus' row instead of the 'On Current' and naturally as long as the form holding the macro was open, its target had to also.
