Hello. This is probably a really simple question, I've just never used access at all until now. I have a form all set up (programmed by someone else) to input data and one of the fields is set to numerical and even though it lists two decimal places it always rounds the number off to nearest whole number and I always have to input two decimals so it takes my 1.40, 0.97, 0.98 and such all to 1.00. I either need to to to turn this rounding up and down off or even better change it to a text field. I am using access 2010. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Josh welcome to the forum, if you are going to change the datatype you first do it from the table then you can adjust the form and change the property to text or General.

It sounds like the Data Type may already be set to General Number in the Table. So try this first. Open Form>in View select 'Design View'>right click on the offending field and select 'Properties'>Under Tab 'All' Format should be 'General Number' (if it isn't then you will need to set it in the Table properties)>set 'Decimal Places' to 2>return to View 'Form View'. Hope this helps.
