Macro Security Levels

Has any one found out a way to change Macro Security Levels!!
Microsoft seems to have kept this as a secret. The code below given in the help files doesnt function.
Application.AutomationSecurity = 1
or
Application.AutomationSecurity = msoAutomationSecurityLow

This will work if you will automate access through Visual basic. Would you explain what is your requirement or what you want to do with this code?

No it doesnt work.
I simply dont want users of my applications to manualy go ahead and set security levels time and again since i create my applications with customised menubars and toolbars or without any.

I have posted the code to edit the users registry in this forum to set the users computers Access macro security level. Search the forum if you need it. Be warned that you should be very cautious when editing a users registry!

Macro Security Level

It will work dear. have a look of example in attachment.
If you will open access file through Automation, not only ur application skip the macro security level, what ever it is, it will also enable you to fix the application Icon and help file path problem and resolution problem. No matter where is your application folder in machine, just you have to keep the Icon and help file in same folder (help file is not attached, you can keep any help file named "Help" and can use f1 or Help in menu bar). How ever I have designed this automation for Access 2003.

No offense to you but your zip file contains a mdb that has the code modules password protect. Your zip file also includes an exe executable file that nobody knows what it is programmed to do.

Nobody should take a chance and blindly open either of your files!

You should have either posted the VBA password to your mdb file or removed it's password protection and you should have also included the bas [module code] file so that anybody can review the code in your executable file.

I am sorry Ghudson.

Now I am again sending same mdb, password protection has been removed, and included the bas [module code] file. Just to reduce the size of MDB I have removed all reports, tables, forms and queries.

I normally use to start my access application through this method. I also wantt to know if any draw back is there?

at last, you are great Ghudson, I have learned so many things from your posts.

In your VBA, i have had no glance at any bypass to A03 Macro Security!!!
Why the post.

Ghudson. Thanks for the regedit workarounds.It works fine both in access and Excel.
I personally use WISE to package every thing.
