Mail shots with documents attached

Hi

Ive inherited an old database at my company. My Access knowledge is limited and a mailing function does not work. Its a contact database which is used to send regular emails to stakeholders - each stakeholder requests particular documents but, even though they are ticked off in the datasheet, nothing gets sent with the email. My VBA is non-existant at the moment ( i get the feeling its going to have to improve) but is their an easier way to get the right documents sent with emails?

also, would it be better to set up a documents table with three columns (one with ID number, one with documents and one with hyperlinks) and link this with the contacts database so you just need to list document ID numbers (together in one field) for them to be sent off...
