i've asked a question like this recently, although I think it's been abandoned (perhaps I did not ask clearly enough?) I'm sure it's not something difficult to do.

How can I make a form which has inputs (text boxes etc) and an "Add Record" button which adds a new record from the input data to make a new record on a subform / query / other table?

Surely this can be done!

wishlist.zip attached contains a simple example for making a shopping list. If I could only get the button to work...

I don't really see the difference to typing directly into the subform itself, but here you go:

Wow! Cool! Thanks!!!! :D

You sure answered fast... I was hesitating about whether to ask again, but now I'm right back on track - thank you :)

The reason I want to do this is because I've been working a long time on a really BIG database which takes care of all the student records, invoicing, lesson planning, resource management and you name it for a teacher friend of mine. She originally had some professionals make her a databae, but she must have changed her ideas too often because after a year they had mud.

She asked nicely, and although I don't really know much about Access, she's kind of cute ;) and I felt persuaded. Anyhow - for her lesson planning, she wants to be able to select books from a list... first combobox chooses subject (e.g: mathematics), next combobox (queried from first) can choose area (e.g: algebra), then another to select a level, then which book / activity / page number. Once a resourse is chose, by selecting "Add Me", it gets added to the list of books to bring for that lesson :)

...see? Bigger thank what I asked. :) But I think you've cracked where I was stuck. Thanks again, very much.
