Hello

I have developed a database and to make it look a little more like a standalone application i have been using API functions to minimise access and by setting the form Pop-Up property to true the forms are still displayed - which gives the forms the appearance that they do not belong to access.

Everything works fine all of the forms work great however i am having aq little problem with the reports used in the database. When i come to load the forms they still appear within the access application meaning the user has to maximise access again to read the report.

Is there a way to make forms pop-up (i couldn’t see this option in the properties) or has anyone come across this problem before and found another way around this problem

Any advice is welcome

Thanks

Chris

Thanks for that mate - i had'nt even thought of going down that road. Ill look in to it.

I had thought of just maximising access again when a report was required but puting the report on a form will look much better.

is there a way to print the report from the report viewer via code? Or do i have to call the orginal report and print from there?

Cheers

If you look at the bottom of the report on the form, next to the navigation buttons, there's now a small printer there. I always use this but you could create a 'Print' button if you think this is too small.

I saw the button but was wondering if its possible to create a custom command to print.

I have had no luck so far and was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to print the report from the control viewer

I would, if you're not using the viewers print button.
Code:
    sPrint "rptYourReport"
        DoCmd.OpenReport "rptYourReport", acPrint
