Using Access2007

Have a 2003 mdb need to convert.
On open their are no edit functions available.
the db opens with a password form.
I can't convert, or get to any of the objects.
Looked at the permissions on the properties of db, nothing special going on there that would deny me access.
Must be some kind of background code generated to hide everything, so the user can't change???
Something in the autoexec maybe?
Any clues how I can get to this?
