I am trying to design a database for visitor registration. I created a form that has a dropdown listing employee names and a subform that lists the appointments. What I am tryiung to achieve is when someone selects an employee name on the dropdown, the appointments for the individual employee will show up in the subform.

The problem I am having is getting the two to work together. Do I have to create a lookup query or what can I do to make this happen.

Also, I want to create a report where the managers and receptionist can use a dropdown for dates and print the appointments for that day.

BTW, I am in sort of a time crunch on this as I have been fighting with this for some time. If necessary, I can Email the db to you so you can see what I am trying to accomplish.

Thx in advance.

Typically you TIE the subform to your main form via some link.
Have you done that?
If so you may need to requery the subform control after selecting an employee.

Try checking the Chbild / Master link between the formand the subform. If that isn't right, nothing will work right. Also check your relationships, I will assume that it is one-to-many. Make sure that the referential integerty is checked and also the cascade update and delete. hth.
