I have seen Me!... in code all over the web on forums while looking for answers to various questions.
What does 'Me' represent?
Just wondering.

Me is a shortcut to reference something.

For example, rather than type the full path:

Forms!Orders!OrderDetails.Form!TotalAmount

You can use Me!TotalAmount

"Me." is a shortcut for the current open document. (Translation: Form or report).

Me.xxx is defined if .xxx is defined in the context of the current form.

In theory you could write code in a shared module that uses Me.xxx but remember that if no form/report is open, Me.xxx is dereferenced.

Also note that Me. is always the CURRENT form that has Focus (or on which a control has Focus.) It is not the parent of the current form. It is not the child of the current form. It is the form (or report) on which focus is located.

Also, correct me if I am wrong here Doc, if you have a routine that loops through a pc of code over and over, the 'me' will have to be resolved at each pass which could slow the process down... (?)
