Has anybody got any idea how to Export custom built Menu/Toolbars into another database using code? I am automating a 'reporting version' of a database from the full blown version I use within the office.

Many Thanks

Hi Stuart,

I would go to the receiving DB and import the Objects you need. There is an Option at the bottom of the import form to allow you to import WITH Menu's/Toolbars

I know I can do that, but I have to do it in code from the original database. What I have is a fully usable database, and I am trying to automate the building of a Read Only reporting database which can be created by the press of a button and shipped out to customers.

The Staff who will be given the task, do not have the knowledge to do it by hand.

Sorry Stuart,

Creating a DB by the click of a button is definitely out of my league!

Does the docmd.TransferDatabase... not export with Menu's/Toolbars?

DoCmd.TransferDatabase acExport, "Microsoft Access", path, acTable, "Objectname", "Objectnamer", False, False

Sorry - not worth much!

No, that works with all objects such as froms etc., but doesn't seem to dive deep enough for Menubars.

Cheers Anyway
