Has anyone else had difficulties merging to WordXP?
If i build the document in Word, and then find data source, i can't access any queries that involve unions. I've managed to get around it by appending to a table, and merging the document with that table, but still....
I never get the box that asks how i want to communicate between the programs (ie dde or whatever) and i think it is going with a default of odbc perhaps.
Even once i have managed to fool it with a table, i still get a box appear that asks what source i want, listing all simple queries(named as views) and tables. If i press cancel it disappears and everything happily merges.
The merge wizards in XP are not as helpful as in Word 97, is this our lot as MS progresses?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
