I am trying to make a Reservation Systems Software for My Company and I have to prepare a report that displays all the Reservations made together with their details between two dates.

Tables : Reseravtion, Reserved Services.

Each Reservation Record has a number of linked Reserved Serviecs from the Reserved Services Table.

The Reserved Services Table has the Expenditure and Revenue from the Reservation.

I have to prepare e report that shows all Reservations Between Two dates and the difficult thing is that all the Reserved Services also have to be showed.

Easy till here....but what is required is that The Reservations and Reserved Services along with the Expenditure and Revenue have to be displayed Monthly.

What I mean is that for every month between the two given dates, the Details have to be arrangedin that order.

I s there any way I can do this ... so that the user just enters the two dates and reports come out with all the details by month so that all Reservations, Reserved Services(Expenditure and Revenue) are displayed for each month.

This approach would work, weather or not it is best or not...
Select ("All fields you want on the report... ")
WHERE [Reservations ].[Date] Between [StartDate MM-DD-YY] And [EndDate MM-DD-YY]

In the report you can order by date and force a page break after section if you want details on seperate pages.... Hope this helps...

Brian

Differentiate months

Thank You ...but all that I know already.

What I want to know is that if I have to display all Expenditure and Revenue for each month... how would I do it.

An alternative would be to prompt user for Date Between for every months starting date and End Date, but this would become tedious if I were to display all details for five or six months in 1 report.

I there a way that access that access handles dates or maybe months .... maybe some function?

Look up group by Month there have been many posts on the subject here.
