How would I go about creating a query that would summarize how many items i received per month? I have a date column that tells me the date an item was received..

Create a column in your query

Period:Format([DateField],"mmmyyyy")

Group by this field
Sum Items

So how am I to group and sum? thats where I am at loss..

Use a totals query and code as shown above.
