Months running in order

i have created a query and formated the data to the first 3 letters of the month but they display in random order

apr
jan
feb
ect...

is there anyway of getting them to run in month order

jan
feb
mar
ect...

What I do in this situation is to have a hidden column that I sort on hawith the month formated to have the month number ie Jan = 01,feb = 02 etc.

Or just order them by the raw, unformatted date field that you based the formatted three-letter date on (uncheck the 'show' box, so you don't see it in the results)
