I have just finished developing a database in MS Access. I was using a Toshiba laptop where the OS is windows vista and also used an HP laptop where the OS is windows 7.
It was all working fine till I had to copy and paste my database into my work laptop that runs windows XP.
I don’t know why but the database cannot recognise my database password, and the main report for printing has a different print preview (It was all in five pages initially and now all is in 10 pages).
Why am I getting this error or whatever thing it is? How can I fix it? Is this due to the windows version? I really don’t know.
Many thanks for your help!

First question is what version of Access are you using?
Next was your database split FE-BE?
How did you set your password?

Thanks for the reply.
I’ve been using MS Access 2007 in all of the computers.
No, the database hasn’t been split.
My DB has two passwords. The first one was set using VBA (This one doesn’t come up when using my work laptop), and the second one was set by using database tool in the MS Access ribbon (this one works fine).
:D

Hello again,
I just managed to get the password work. It was something related to my users. I still haven’t figure out why my report is not looking good though.
Thanks!

You have to realize that the reports are also based on printers. So, if you have one type of printer as your default on another machine than the one you are using now, it can look different. Also, if using the same printer, the printer driver needs to be the same version as well.

Thanks for the reply.
My work laptop is pretty new and no printers have been added so far. I printed from my own computer and it worked ok. I may need to talk to my IT department in order to add a printer as am not running as administrator.
Thanks!
