Question MS Access 2013 Data Link in Excel 2013

Good morning,


I am having an issue with two workbooks that are linked to a MS access database.


In the MS Access tables I have hyperlinks set to individual .pdf files. In Access, the hyperlinks that are set work fine and the friendly name is shown properly; however, when I connect these tables to an Excel spreadsheet, so my managers can see the data, the hyperlinks show the long file path and also do not work.


How can I keep the hyperlinks set when updating my connection from Excel to MS Access?


The data will change monthly, and we have thousands of records, so I can't reset them every month.

Not a 100 percent sure I've got the gist of your question. I think you are saying you have a hyperlink in a table in MS Access, this hyperlink works OK. When you link to that table from Excel then the hyperlink does not work. If that's the case then have a look at the following YouTube video where I demonstrate one solution...
