MS Oracle Driver Problem

Hi Guys,

I'm using this connection string below.

strConnection = "Driver={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle};Server=ServerName;uid=UID;pwd=PASSWORD;"


But I keep on getting this error.:
[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]

Any ideas??

I have created a DSN with the same parameters and using the same driver and it still fails. What file should I update?

Have you created a (Microsoft ODBC for Oracle) User DSN for your Oracle connection?

CONTROL PANEL > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > DATA SOURCES > USER DSN (TAB)

Here's the connection string that I commonly use:

"ODBC;UID=AUserID;PWD=APassword;DSN=DSNname;SERVER=ServerNamer;"

Install and use Oracle’s version of the driver, not the Microsoft one.

Yopur connection string is not correct, specify a DSN, not a Driver.

The Microsoft ODBC for Oracle driver works great.
