MsgBox and findrecord

Hi All

Does any one know a way of getting docmd.findrecord to use a msgbox that prompts for the search criteria??

Or am I barking up the wrong lamp-post, just need a simple way to find a person or address in a Doctors db.

You can't force DoCmd.FindRecord to use MsgBox, but you can use the MsgBox function to request info from the user that can then be used by FindRecord to find your record. Look up the MsgBox function in the Access online help. In addition to looking at the FindRecord method, you should also look at the help topic for the FindRecord macro action, as they macro help tends to be more thorough.
