Hello everyone,

Well here is a strange problem. When I make a report with multiple columns in the detail section it all works fine. But when I add it to another report as a subreport it only displays with one column.

Thanks in advance.

I’m beginning to think this is not possible. I have two subreport and one of them needs to be a single column width and the other needs to be dual. I’m starting to lose faith in the possibility.

Please, if any one has any idea of a work around let me know.

I guess the I'll output it to MS Word and let the user cut and paste.

I just tried the subreport thing and it works just great....

Thanks for posting.

Did you try it with 2 subreports? If you format the main report for multi columns the subreport will display with multi columns. But if you rely on the formatting of the subreport, it looses the column formatting to the main report.

I'm so confused.

Possible solution

Just a suggestion, not sure if you solved it already or not. You have to make the subreport wide enough inside of the main report to contain all the columns. It seems the "Autosize" or "Can Grow" properties are thrown out the window when dealing with subreports.
